The World Cup starts this week and while the tournament, as a whole, does not feel like it has been that hyped. Well, other than collectors.

The soccer market is heating up, per Card Ladder, as it is up over 10% over the last three months. That’s with things down 0.10% over the last week. However, big names like Messi, Yamal, and even Pulisic have seen record sales or big market improvements over the last few weeks.

The World Cup bump is coming. Well, as soon as Panini can get the product out.

Unfortunately, the rookie class took a major hit this week as Germany’s Lennart Karl was injured in training and will miss the World Cup. Add in Brazil’s Estevao missing due to injury as well and a few key rookies from the 2024-25 and 2025-26 classes missing the World Cup entirely and a lot of the products are going to be veteran-heavy on chases.

At least we’ll have all of the Debut Patches from the 2026 World Cup sometime in 2031!

The full PSA population for graded Metal Universe Jordan cards is 7,812. According to PSA, just under 2% of these cards receive a Gem Mint grade, while about 21.3% are graded a PSA 9, and 37.7% receive a PSA 8 grade.
